Marion L. Peters

Marion L. Peters, 84, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky, Ohio. He was born on May 14, 1934 in Big Lick Township, Ohio, the son of the late John and Ethel (Russell) Peters. He married Nancy Meacham on January 26, 1985 and she survives. Marion was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War. Marion was the Owner and Operator of Peters Aluminum Company in Port Clinton, serving his customers for over 40 years. He enjoyed watching and feeding the birds and the squirrels in his back yard. Survivors include his wife, Nancy; daughter, Sheryl (Todd) Knieriemen, Green Springs, Ohio; grandchildren, Derek (Megan) Knieriemen, Nicole (Cory) Donnersbach, Robert (Brittney) Knieriemen, Seth (Arica) Knieriemen; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Stilwell, Cleburne, Texas and Donna Jameson, Lakeside, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Joyce (Edwards) Peters; daughter, Valerie Peters; sons, Scott and Michael Peters; sisters, Evelyn Fruth and Glenna Self; and brothers, Carl and Harold Peters. Visitation will be held at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 10 am until Funeral Services at 11 am with Pastor Deron Fourman officiating. Burial will follow at 1 pm at Union Cemetery in West Independence, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of ones choice.
