Marion A. Hinkle, 86, of Port Clinton, Ohio died Friday, March 29, 2013 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center in Port Clinton. She was born on June 10, 1926 in Stephensville, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Louise (Brandt) Parthie. On February 12, 1966 she married Ford Hinkle and he preceded her in death on May 7, 2001. Marion formerly worked as a secretary for General Dynamics in San Diego, California and then for Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Port Clinton where she was the past council secretary of the Priscilla Circle; she was also a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her nieces: Sue Seipel, Michigan: Karla Rothmann, Wisconsin: nephews: Mark Parthie, Texas; Gregg Weber, Brian Parthie and Ken Parthie, Wisconsin; step-son: George McKinney and step-daughter: Brenda Stoneburger, Tennessee; many step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Lyle, Melvin, Merton and Leland; sister: Elaine Weber; and nephew: Vernon. There will be no visitation or services as cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions in Marion's memory may be made to St. John Lutheran Church; Cherry Street Mission in Toledo, or Donor's choice. Burial will take place in Stephensville, WI.
