Marilyn E. Skrinak

Marilyn E. “Maisie” Skrinak, 82, of Marblehead, OH, died Monday, June 12, 2006 at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton. She was born June 30, 1923 in Sandusky, the daughter of Herbert E. and Lena (Goltz) Gerold. Maisie was a 1941 graduate of Sandusky High School and was employed by Apex for 18 years. She then spent 28 years as a bartender at the Marina Restaurant in Marblehead. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Surviving is her husband, Francis whom she married October 20, 1950; son Kim (Liz) Skrinak of Catawba Island; granddaughters, Andrea Roberts of Fairfax, Va, Nikki Skrinak of Columbus and Krystyn Skrinak of Catawba Island, and a brother Larry (Rosemary) Gerold of Sandusky. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jack, Dale and Gene Gerold and sisters, Iris Mizla, Beverly Scherz and Eunice Gerold. The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm Friday at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Marblehead, where her body will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the time of the mass. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Marblehead. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Ottawa County, Diabetes Association, the Lakeside or Marblehead Fire Dept and EMS or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
