Marianne M. "Mitzie" Paule

Marianne Mabel “Mitzie” Paule, 89, of Elmore, Ohio passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021 at Genoa Retirement Village in Genoa, Ohio where she had been in hospice care. Mitzie was born at home in Carroll Township, Oak Harbor, on March 27, 1932, the daughter of Harold and Violet (Zenser) Wegner. A graduate of Oak Harbor High School, she married Robert Paule on June 10, 1950. They were married 67 years before Bob’s passing in 2017. With a smile on her face, she was a wife, mother, and a busy lady, working on the farm, JC Penny, Aby’s Catering at Brush Wellman, co-owner of Welcome Inn and later Portage Inn. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Rachel Circle at church, 66-year member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit #279, Elmore and DAR, Fremont Chapter. A SMILE WAS HER STYLE! Surviving are her sons: Steve (Brenda) Paule, Tom (Julie) Paule, Reg (Diane) Paule; grandchildren: Pat (Mandy) Paule, Pete (Madelyn) Paule, Michelle (Ty) Patton, Bryce (Rachael) Paule, Taryn (Heath) Slack, Nick (Erin) Paule, Shane Paule and Shena (Kris) Klinger; great-grandchildren: Drew, Dylan, Isaac, Emilia, Cade, Callie, Reed, Autumn, Adalyn, Kira, Inessa, Aston and Cami. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son: Barrett Paule; great-grandson: Knox Klinger; brother: Aaron Wegner and sister: Phyllis Fountain. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Grace Lutheran Church, 19225 Witty Rd. Elmore, OH where visitation will be held Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Harris Elmore Union Cemetery.
