Marian Jeanette Veverka

Marian Jeanette Veverka, 91, of Marblehead, OH passed away on August 10, 2023 at Promedica Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, OH. She was born August 20, 1931 the daughter of Clifford and Fannie (Dickinson) Cronenberger. She married John V. Veverka, November 8, 1954 and he preceded her in death on May 26, 2006. Marian graduated from Collingwood High School in Cleveland attended the University of Kentucky and graduated from Bowling Green State University with a BFA. Marian worked for the Cleveland Public Library, Erie Ordinance and the Ida Rupp Public Library retiring in 1994. Marian enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her family ant pet cats. She also enjoyed writing poetry, having several of her works published.

Surviving are her children: John (Rene) Veverka of Marblehead, Martin Veverka of Marblehead, Kathleen Veverka of Woodville, Russell Veverka of Marblehead; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughters: Bonnie Avalos, Betsy Veverka and an infant grandson.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 am Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay, St. Marblehead, OH. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Marblehead, OH. Father Joseph Szybka will be officiating. Memorial donations may be given to the Humane Society of Ottawa County, 2424 E.
