Marguerite Perry

Marguerite Perry, 93, of Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, May 11, 2015 at Otterbein North Shore Retirement Center in Lakeside, Ohio. She was born on November 29, 1921, the daughter of the late Elmer and Grace (Caughey) Price. On February 16, 1946 she married James Herbert Perry and he preceded her in death on April 28, 1993. Marguerite worked as a bookkeeper, starting out at Pittsburgh Plate and Glass in Toledo, Ohio, then at Stephens Printing in Sandusky, and finally at the Marblehead Bank until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of the Lakeside United Methodist Church in Lakeside where she was active in the parenting group. She was also a member of the Danbury CCL. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, boating on Lake Erie, and spending winters in Florida with her husband. Following her husband's death, she enjoyed going on bus tours, traveling to different destinations, as well as taking a cruise with her family to Alaska. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughters: Sue (Bob) Meterko, Marblehead and Ginny (Jay) Evans, Columbus, Ohio; sons: Jim (Michelle) Perry, Fort Mill, South Carolina and Bob (Meribeth) Perry, Strongsville, Ohio; grandchildren: Mark (Kathy) Meterko, Matt Meterko, Paul Meterko, Diane Meterko, Melissa (Ryan) Heck, Sarah (Eric) Jones, and Nicolas Perry; great-grandchildren: Sophia Jones and Gale Heck. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister: Mary Jane Wagoner. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-7pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio. Funeral Services will follow at 7pm with Pastor Vern Shepherd officiating. Burial will be private for the family on Friday, May 15 at Patterson Cemetery in Forest, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Otterbein North Shore Aviary, and to Stein Hospice. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.neideckerleveckcrosser.com
