Marguerite Anna Hersberger

Marguerite Anna Hersberger, 100, passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor, OH October 21, 2016. She was born in Toledo, OH Nov. 3, 1915 to Arthur and Susan (Schrader) Hablitzel. She was married to Phil VanRensselaer and from that union had a daughter and a son. She later married Milton Hersberger. She was a life member of the Order of Eastern Stars, Riverview Health Care Campus Auxiliary, Magruder Hospital Auxiliary. In her early years, she was active in the Oak Harbor Garden Club, former member of PCYC and CIC. She also was a dental receptionist for many years. In later years, her favorite past time at Riverview was to compete in and win games. She was runner-up for Riverview Queen at the Oak Harbor Apple Festival. In her last year, she was delighted to have friends and family surround her for her 100th Birthday Celebration, Nov. 3, 2015. Her whole life she was a Buckeye Fan! Surviving are her daughter: Sue Ann Coyle; son: Arthur (Judi) VanRensselaer; brother: Dr. Darrell Hablitzel; grandchildren: Brian (Amy) Weibel, Kenny Weibel, Bob Weibel, Todd (Corinna) VanRensselaer, Bret (Candy) VanRensselaer, many nieces and nephews who supported her throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her husbands, brothers: Carol (Elsie) Hablitzel, Corwin (Tissie) Hablitzel. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton where visitation will be held Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Rev. Dave Voll will be officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Ottawa County Riverview Health Care Campus Auxiliary, 8180 W.
