Marguerite Ann "Chico" Bird

Marguerite Ann “Chico” Bird passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on February 22, 2022. She was born to George and Helen (Gresko) Elchisco, Jr. on October 2, 1946. She attended elementary school at the little stone schoolhouse in Lakeside and was a graduate of Danbury High School. She worked at Biro Manufacturing, African Lion Safari, Incorvaia Catering, New Departure and the Marblehead Galley. Chico was a loyal Browns, Indians and Cavs fan. She loved Holy Assumption Orthodox Church and loved Marblehead and her family and friends with a passion. She was an accomplished fisherman, avid golfer and loved her trips to the casino. She was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend, known to all for stepping up to help anyone in need. On May 25, 1968 she married her high school sweetheart, Dennis Bird, and he survives. She is also survived by sisters: Sonya (Joe) Rose, Sandy (Dave) Martin and brother Dan (Jane Danchisen Pittman) Elchisco; brothers-in-law: John “Mick” (Alice) Bird, Kevin (Colleen) Bird; nieces and nephews: Joseph M. (Lisa) Rose, Margaret (Dennis) Podschweit, Jeff Hale, Jennifer (Tim) Heffernan, Susie (Jim) Bibler, Matthew Elchisco, Christine (Nate) Miller, Mary Bird, Meegan Bird, John (Tamara) Bird, Kate (Tom Eubig) Bird, Courtney (Brenden Sheridan) Bird, Britney (Marty) Baird, special friend Pam Gartin, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, George Michael Elchisco. The family is grateful for the efforts of Fr. Andrew Bartek, Dr. Steve Jackson, Stein Hospice and the host of kind and generous friends and neighbors. Visitation will be held 2:00 – 7:00 pm Friday, February 25, 2022 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH where Parastas services will be held Friday evening at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Holy Assumption Orthodox Church, 113 E. Main St. Marblehead, OH 43440. Interment will follow in Holy Assumption Orthodox Cemetery, Marblehead, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to Holy Assumption Orthodox Church, 113 E. Main St. Marblehead, OH 43440.
