Margaret G. Peters

Margaret G. Peters, 99, of Oak Harbor, died Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Riverview Senior Healthcare Campus, Cottage Cove. She was born Feb. 16, 1908 in Toledo, OH the daughter of the late Roy and Gertrude (Link) Flood. She married Chalmers Den Hart in June 1937 and he preceded her in death on July 2, 1941. She married Ralph Peters on July 20, 1945 and he preceded her in death on June 11, 1987. Mrs. Peters was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor where she was active in the Dorcus Circle. Surviving are her daughters: Suzanne (Tom) Hurrell of Oak Harbor, Janet Hamilton of Greenville, SC; son: Ronald (Mary) Peters of Bloomington, IN; brothers: Edward (Sally) Flood of Maumee, OH, Raymond Flood of Toledo, OH; sister: Alice Eick of Toledo, OH; grandchildren: Audra Arebaugh, Robert Hurrell, Sarah (Brian) Kavich, Rachel Peters; great-grandchildren: Madelyn Jividen and Evan Hurrell. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, brothers: Joseph, Edwin, William, Carl, Walter; sisters: Ethel Whitacre, Gertrude Wattring; and her grandson: Jeffrey Hurrell. The family will receive friends from 4-8 P.M. Monday at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor.
