Marc A. Mardosa, 51, formerly of Catawba Island, passed away on January 1, 2019 after a lengthy illness. He was born on September 8, 1967 in Sandusky, Ohio, the son of John and Nancy (Cram) Mardosa. Marc was a 1987 graduate of Port Clinton High School. He had a mechanical mind and enjoyed tinkering with things. He was an avid collector of sports memorabilia and Hot Wheels cars. Marc was well known for his unwavering optimism and his Irish gift of gab which enabled him to engage anybody in a conversation. Marc is survived by his father, John A. Mardosa; his sister, Debbie (Joe) Drago; niece and nephew, Marisa and Dominic Drago; two other special children who were always remembered fondly in his heart, and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy C. Mardosa, and his brother, Michael S. Mardosa. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, Ohio from 9:30 am until a Memorial Service at 11:30 am with Reverend Annette Dimond officiating. Burial will follow in Catawba Island Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Catawba Island Volunteer Fire Department, 4730 E.
