Mae Schultz Flowers

Mae Schultz Flowers, 96, of Graytown passed away Friday, May 14, 2021 at Genacross Lutheran Home, Toledo, OH. She was born Feb. 23, 1925 in Graytown, OH the daughter of William and Marie (Tabbert) Schultz. She had three sisters: Marian Harder, Wilma Kluck and Lois Kohlman who have preceded her in death. She married Clem Flowers who is now deceased. Surviving are her niece Karen (Edward) Davidge whom she raised from a baby like a daughter. She is also survived by their daughter Kerri McKinney and her two sons: Trent and Travis McKinney and a number of nieces and nephews. She helped her father on the farm as she always remained at the home location, caring for her mom and dad. As a young girl she had several jobs. She worked as a waitress at the Pink elephant and Bill’s Diner and she was a clerk for Jack’s Superette. She was a faithful and dedicated member of St. John Lutheran Church in Rocky Ridge, Ohio where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She loved to knit, crochet and bake coffee cakes. Her greatest joy was to help raise about 76 children while their parents worked at other jobs. She delighted in the friends of her nieces and the young boys. Visitation will be Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 12:00 noon – 4:00 pm at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 301 N. Locust St. Oak Harbor, Ohio where funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Monday, May 17, 2021. Interment will follow in Elliston Cemetery.
