Madelon D. Wadsworth, 88, of Port Clinton, Ohio died Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center in Port Clinton. She was born on December 7, 1921 in Gypsum, Ohio, the daughter of the late Deo and Dorothy (Tash) Bowen. In May of 1939 she married Howard "Dutch" Wadsworth and he preceded her in death on July 16, 1979. Madelon worked at the former "Sailors" restaurant in Marblehead, and then for Sorensen's Products "Hickory Farms" in Port Clinton until her retirement in the early 1980's. She was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, where she was a member of the Priscilla Circle, and enjoyed baking for various church bake sales. Her hobbies included crocheting, sewing, plastic canvas, and ceramics. Survivors include her sons: Gilbert A. (Patricia) Wadsworth, of Marblehead, Ohio; Ronald W. Wadsworth, of Port Clinton; James L. (Zoyna) Wadsworth and Robert A. Wadsworth, both of Toledo, Ohio; daughter: Diane K. (William) Lange, of Erie, Michigan; 19 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; and very special nieces: Debbie (Mike) Campbell, of Hamilton, Ohio; Patricia (David) Schaffer, of Colonial Heights, Virginia; and Julie (Kent) Joy, of Catawba Island. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter: Beverly Ilene Wadsworth, and sister: Marge Gottschalk. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 11 am with Reverend James Lehman officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Port Clinton.
