Mabel D. Reitler

Mabel D. (Brough) Reitler, 86, of Oak Harbor, OH, died Friday, March 27, 2009, at her home. She was born in Carroll Township, Ottawa County, on February 3, 1923, a daughter of Clayton & Nettie (Finken) Brough. Mabel was a secretary for 17 years at Camp Perry, retiring in 1985. On August 15, 1945, she married Kenneth Reitler, and he preceded her in death on September 15, 1982. Mabel was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, the Eagles Auxiliary, and the Women of the Moose, all in Port Clinton. She is survived by her son, Robert (Beth) Reitler, Lexington, OH; daughters, Carol (Mike) Richardson, Oak Harbor, and Debra (Greg) Banks, Columbus, OH; sisters, Dolores Robertson, Oak Harbor, and June Browder, Chambersburg, PA; sister-in-law, Donna Brough, Oak Harbor, 7 grandchildren, and15 great-grandchildren. Mabel was preceded in death by her father, Clayton Brough; mother, Nettie Gnepper; brother, Curt Brough; and sisters, Donna Lou Stamm and Grace Sherwood. The family will receive friends from 1-4 P.M. Monday at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. Monday. Interment will be in Otsego Baptist Church Cemetery, New Concord, Ohio.
