Mabel A. Suchomma

Mabel A. Suchomma, 98 of St. Joseph, MI and formerly of Elmore, OH died Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Caretel Inns in St. Joseph, MI. She was born August 15, 1912 in Graytown, OH to the late Henry G. and Augusta (Hasenkamp) Meister. She was married to Ralph Morgan who preceded her in death in 1961. On December 23, 1967 she married Joseph Suchomma who also preceded her in death February 20, 2001. Mrs. Suchomma worked at various jobs but was primarily a homemaker. She was the eldest member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Elliston. She was also had memberships in Eastern Star and Daughters of Jeptha. Mabel especially enjoyed cooking and baking and was known for her delicious pastries. She loved to host family for the holidays, gardening, traveling, and being with friends. Survivors include nieces and nephews: Mary F. (Robert) Kynast of St. Joseph, MI, James (Marion) Frederick of Trumbull, CT, Nancy (Dennis) Allen of Lutz, FL, Henry "Skip" (Nancy) Meister of New Port Richey, FL, and Scott (Cindy) Meister of Tampa, FL; and 13 grand nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister Ruth Frederick and brother Henry W. Meister. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore- Genoa Chapel, 19550 W. SR. 51, Elmore, OH 43416. The Family will also receive friends beginning at 10am prior to the Funeral Services beginning at 11am held on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Trinity United Church of Christ with the Rev. Lowell Peters officiating. Burial will be in Elliston Cemetery, Elliston, OH. Memorial Contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ or a charity of the Donor's Choice.
