Lyle J. Boytim

Lyle J. Boytim, 91, of Marblehead, OH passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Parkview Care Center, Sandusky, OH. He was born March 19, 1931 in Marblehead, OH the son of Steve and Anna (Kuzma) Boytim. He married Elida Rodriquez on December 29, 2006 and she survives. Lyle served in the United State Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Mary Byzantine Church, Marblehead, OH. He worked at the Marblehead Quarry and later retired from Ford Motor Company, Sandusky, where he was an inspector. He was a Charter Boat Captain and enjoyed fishing, hunting, crossword puzzles and watching westerns. He was a Man of Faith and provided help to single parents who were trying to work and needed someone to watch and transport their children. Surviving are his wife: Elida; son: Robert (Kosandra) Boling of Sandusky; step-daughters: Mari Wymer of Hopewell, OH, Maria Antonia (Daniel) Adams of Temperance, Letica (John) Borgen of Burnsville, MN; brother: Robert Boytim of Marblehead, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Daniel Boytim and sister: Mildred Boytim. Visitation will be held Monday, February 21, 2022 from 2:00 – 8:00 pm at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH where Parastas Services will be held Monday night at 7:00 pm. Additional visitation will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at St. Mary Byzantine Church, 506 E. Main St. Marblehead, OH from 10:30 am until the Divine Liturgy with Funeral at 11:30 am in the Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary Byzantine Church Cemetery, Marblehead, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
