Lydia M. Engbring

Lydia M. Engbring, 68, of Catawba Island, OH died Monday, July 17, 2006 at her residence. She was born August 19, 1937 in Port Clinton, OH, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Peto) Benko. She married Ralph Engbring on June 12, 1965 and he survives. Mrs. Engbring was a Billing Operator for American Crayon Company, Sandusky, OH for ten years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, where she taught Sunday School. She was a substitute in the Port Clinton Schools and Danbury Schools cafeteria and volunteered at the National Rifle and Pistol Matches at Camp Perry. She was a member of the Bowling League and Garden Club. Surviving is her husband, Ralph; daughter Tonya (Brian) Foos of Vickery, OH; twin grandchildren: Clemens and Isaac Foos; brothers: John Benko, Steve (Nancy) Benko, Andy (Marlene) Benko, all of Port Clinton; sisters: Helen (Andy) Grover and Judy (Dan) Mulligan both of Port Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Nicholas Benko. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 20, 2006 at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, where the family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Wednesday. Pastor Richard Sutter will officiate, and interment will be at Catawba Island Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Hospice, Clyde, OH or Catawba Island Volunter Fire Department.
