Lucille F. Kaiser

September 10, 1922 — January 31, 2007

Lucille F. Kaiser, 84, of Oak Harbor, OH, died Wednesday morning at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor. She was born on September 10, 1922 in Williston, OH, a daughter of the late Edward & Helena (Strohscher) Sievert. During World War II, she tested armaments at Camp Perry. Lucy was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge, and the Ladies Aid of the church. She also tended the gardens at the church for a time and assisted her husband on the family farm. An avid gardener, she was particularly proud of having won the “Garden of the Month” award from the Ottawa County Exponent. Lucy was an accomplished seamstress and won an award for her quilting. She was a Brownie leader for several years and especially enjoyed traveling with her husband, having visited Mexico, Europe, and Israel. On June 16, 1945, she married Carl W. Kaiser, and he preceded her in death on March 13, 2006. She is survived by her children, William (Beverly) Kaiser, Graytown, OH, Ed (Sue) Kaiser, Oak Harbor, David Kaiser, Oak Harbor, Rita Kaiser, Ft Myers, FL, and Janet (Larry) Lickert, Oak Harbor; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Hazel Myerholtz, Genoa, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Arlene Nusbaum, Audrey Brandt, and Edna Butzin. Friends may call from 2-8 P.M. Friday at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where the family will be present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge, with the Rev. Keith Baker officiating. Interment will be in Limestone Cemetery, Limestone, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Riverview Health Care Campus, toward their library and boardwalk projects. Lucy’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Riverview Health Care Campus, especially Station 1, for the excellent care, kindness, and compassion extended to Lucy during her stay with them.
