Lou "Butch" Kukay, 61, of Port Clinton, Ohio died Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio. He was born on August 16, 1947, in Port Clinton, Ohio, the son of Louis William and Lucille (Monak) Kukay. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, having served his country during the Vietnam War. Butch worked in the gaming industry in Las Vegas for 25 years, then in Detroit, Michigan for 3 years. He was an avid reader and sports fan. He especially enjoyed the accomplishments of his son, nieces and nephews, and grandson. Survivors include his son: Craig (Becky) Kukay, of Delaware, Ohio; mother: Lucille Kukay, of Marblehead, Ohio; brother: Daniel (Vickie) Kukay, of Marblehead, Ohio grandson: Mason Kukay; and nieces and nephew: Brooke, Kevin, and Megan Kukay. He was preceded in death by his father, and an infant brother: Frank. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
