Loretta Lee Portales

Loretta Lee (Fleenor) Portales, 56, of Port Clinton, OH passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. Loretta was born April 24, 1967 in Port Clinton, daughter of the late Forster Lee and Sandra Sue (Barnette) Fleenor.

Loretta was a familiar face to many in the community and a friend to all. She was a server at several local establishments, most notably, Jimmie’s Gotcha, The Crow’s Nest, West Bay, and Casa Las Palmas. In her free time, Loretta loved to garden, and she grew the most beautiful lilies. She had a “green thumb” and enjoyed working in her yard creating fresh succulent arrangements for family and friends. Loretta loved to experience nature and found so much beauty in Lake Erie sunsets. She was a strong woman of faith who read her Bible daily. Most of all, Loretta treasured time with family, especially her children and grandchildren whom she loved unconditionally.

Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Amber (Kelsey) Haig Portales, Brandon (Megan Haig) Portales, Paige (Gary Ball) Portales; grandchildren, Zander Lake Ball, Cora Mae Portales, and Theodore Krew Haig Portales; her sweetheart, Robert Steele, and his children and grandchildren; brothers, Glendale (Kathleen) Fleenor and Michael (Elizabeth) Fleenor; grandmother, Beulah Robbins; nephews, Shay and Jared Fleenor; great-niece, Shyia Fleenor; grand-pups, Milo, Luna, and Junior; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to give special thanks to ProMedica Hospice for their compassionate care.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, October 30, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd.
