Lorene C. Roy

Lorene C. Roy, 97 formerly of Elmore, Ohio died Sunday, November 3, 2013 at the Genoa Care Center, Genoa, Ohio. She was born December 3, 1915 in Pemberville, OH to the late Frederick & Elizabeth (Weigman) Titkemeier. She was a graduate of Pemberville High School. On July 26, 1947, she married Leo E. Roy, who preceded her in death July 6, 1987. Lorene was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elmore, where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for over 20 years, and was a member of the Rachel Circle. Lorene truly enjoyed preparing holiday meals for her family. Survivors include her daughters Susan Klingbeil (Joe Imhof) of Elmore, Ohio and Marilyn Roy (William Weis) of Seattle, WA; grandson Frank (Stacey) Klingbeil of Commerce Township, MI; and 3 great- grandchildren: Aidan, Benjamin, and Matthew Klingbeil. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters: Ruth McKee, Lois Loomis, Margaret Hamen, and Eunice Hartenfeld; and brothers: Robert, Frank, Frederick, and Herbert Titkemeier. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 P.M. at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elmore-Genoa Chapel where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 7, 2013. Pastor Denise Russell will officiate, and interment will be in Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery, Elmore. Memorial Contributions may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Genoa Care Center, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
