Linda Lee Collins

Linda Lee (Peto) Collins, 62 formerly of Port Clinton, OH passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011 surrounded by her family, following a lengthy illness. Linda was born April 15, 1948 in Port Clinton to Andrew and Eunice (Turner) Peto. After graduating from Port Clinton High School in 1966, she attended nursing school in Sandusky, OH earning her Licensed Practical Nurse license. She married Donald Collins, originally of Sandusky, on October 26, 1974 and they resided in Bowling Green, OH for the next 21 years. Due to her husband's job transfer, they moved to Flower Mound, TX in July of 1993, where she studied for and obtained her Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse license, and continued her nursing career until she and her husband retired in March 2005.Throughout her life she was active in the Lutheran Church, both in Ohio and Texas. She also enjoyed sewing and embroidery, spending many hours making things for people. She is survived by her husband Donald and daughter Erin Collins both of Flower Mound, TX; son Scott Collins of Magnolia, TX; brother James (Judy) Peto of Delaware, OH; sister Carole (Timothy) Bentley of Bellevue, OH; granddaughter Rylyn. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Neidecker- LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton. Additional visitation will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, 207 Adams Street, Port Clinton on Thursday, April 7, 2011 beginning at 10:30am until funeral services at 11am with the Reverend Karl Kessler officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Port Clinton. Memorial Contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church- Audio/Visual Fund in Flower Mound, TX.
