Linda K. Whiting

Linda Kay Whiting, 57, of Columbus, OH died July 5, 2008 at Rochester Methodist Hospital of the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN following a brief illness. She was born January 18, 1951 in Port Clinton, OH to Lester and Mildred (Dirnberg) Whiting. She was a 1969 Graduate of Woodmore High School, Elmore. She attended Bowling Green State University, but Graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Education. She worked as a Project Coordinator for the Franklin County Department of Jobs and Family Services, Columbus. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore. Survivors include her brother Gary (Marge) Whiting of Elmore, sister Sharon (Lyle) Peters of Oak Harbor, OH, niece Mindy (Burton) Haren of Columbus, and close friends Cindy Gudel and Sandy Downie both of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be Friday from 2-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore. Funeral Services will begin at 11am Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen Lutz officiating. Burial will be in Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery, Elmore.
