Linda A. Sergent

Linda A. Sergent, 66, of Port Clinton, Ohio died Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center in Port Clinton. She was born on September 22, 1947 in Summersville, West Virginia. She was a graduate of Summersville High School and then pursued a secretarial and business degree in West Virginia and finished her studies and obtained her associates degree at Terra State Community College in Fremont, Ohio. She was a member of the Church of Truth Ministries in Gypsum, Ohio. She loved being around people which led her to work as a waitress at various restaurants, with the most recent being at Wild Wings Restaurant, Oak Harbor. She also sold Avon for many years. She loved watching football, and was an avid Michigan Wolverine fan as well as an Oakland Raider fan. She loved to dance, and especially enjoyed listening to country music and rock and roll music. Survivors include her daughter: Ashley (Ricky Alejo) Sergent, Nashville, Tennessee; son: Joshua (Alicia Wadsworth) Parsons, Port Clinton; grandsons: Kai and Jack; and a granddaughter due in June- Lillyana; and her best friend forever: Jan Meinke, Oak Harbor. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 2pm until a celebration of Linda's life memorial service at 4pm at the Church of Truth Ministries, 745 S. Lake Street, Gypsum, Ohio, with Pastor Brian Hild officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
