Linda A. Bailey

Linda A Bailey, 65, of Lakeside, Ohio and formerly of Tiffin, Ohio passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 at The Toledo Hospital in Toledo Ohio. Linda sparkled wherever she went. Even as a child in Pittsburgh, she brought joy to her parents, Wallace and Lois (Schnarrenberger) Sherbon. She married John P. Bailey on June 17, 1972. John quickly learned that Linda loved beautifully crafted leather purses, sparkly jewelry and enjoyed collecting collections. Linda loved crafts and reading which was a perfect fit for her career as a children's librarian. Most recently she worked at the Tiffin Seneca Public Library until her retirement. Linda loved Lakeside. Being able to buy a house there in October 2016 was a wonderful blessing. Avid travelers, John and Linda visited Israel, Egypt and Alaska as well as other places throughout the United States. Traveling included Linda's love for family vacations. She planned theme dinners, crafts and scavenger hunts and to her surprise, her family willingly participated in all of it. Linda loved Christmas. She spent all year shopping which resulted in a room full of thoughtful gifts for those she loved. Most importantly, Linda treasured her grandchildren and loved being with them. Her dazzling spirit will not be forgotten by the survived: her husband John, sons Stephen (Charity) Bailey, Upland Indiana, and Matthew (Adrianne) Bailey, Strongsville Ohio; grandchildren, Benjamin, Grace, Luke, Nathan and Evan; brother, Wallace (Janet) Sherbon, Birmingham Alabama; and nieces Kathy (Brian) Paudert and Julie (Russell) Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents. A celebration of Linda's life will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 10 am at The Memorial Garden at Chautauqua Park, corner of Poplar and Sixth Street, Lakeside, Ohio.
