Lillian R. Busch

Lillian R. Busch, 92, of Port Clinton, Ohio and formerly of Fremont, Ohio died Friday, March 25, 2011 at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton. She was born on December 27, 1918 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late Edward and Rosamond (Cole) Umbach. On June 29, 1940 she married Charles Busch and he preceded her in death on November 11, 1989. She was a chef on Rattlesnake Island for over 11 years, and then at the Ottawa Shooting Club in Fremont until 1997. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Port Clinton where she was a member of the Lydia Circle at the church. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, oil painting, quilting, flower gardening, planting, and feeding the birds. Survivors include her son: Charles (Ellen) Busch, Findlay, Ohio; daughter: Lois (Tom) Evans, Port Clinton, Ohio; grandchildren: Dr. Sue (Dr. David) Hermes, Chuck Busch, Dr. Tom (Dr. Manjula) Evans, Paul (Jennifer) Busch, Jim (Amy) Evans, Dr. Mike (Dr. Stella) Evans; fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers: Edward and Albert Umbach; and sisters: Catherine Wright, Bessie Grodi, and Rose Levinson. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 from 10am until a memorial service to celebrate Lillian�s life which will be held at 11am at Trinity United Methodist Church, 135 Adams Street, Port Clinton. Pastor Bruce Batchelor-Glader will officiate. Burial will be private at the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Fremont. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton.
