Lester J Short

Lester J. Short, 86, of Port Clinton, OH passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024. He was born February 8, 1938 in Port Clinton, OH the son of Lester C. and Marion (Kaylor) Short. He married Rosemary Palmer on October 25, 1958 and she survives. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard. Mr. Short worked for Kroger for 12 years and then for Brush Wellman retiring in 2000. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, Port Clinton V.F.W., Port Clinton American Legion, Oliver H. Perry Masonic Lodge 341, Port Clinton; Life member of Eagles Lodge Aerie No. 2295, Port Clinton where he was a Golden Eagle; Life member of the former Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1610, Port Clinton where he was a member of Legion of the Moose; Past National President of Dads of Foreign Service Veterans.

Surviving are his wife: Rosemary; son: James (Christina) Short of Norwalk; granddaughters: Jessica Michelle (Brian Hahn) Short, Jennifer Michelle Short; great-granddaughter: Gabriella; sister: Dianna Schwable of Leigh Acres, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and son: Lester C. Short, Jr.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH 43452 with visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
