Leroy Paul Harder, 68, of Oak Harbor died Tuesday, November 04, 2008 at Genoa Care Center following a lengthy illness. He was born August 21, 1940 In Graytown, OH to the late Earlin and Marion (Schultz) Harder. In February of 1973 he married the former Lydia (Klienpeter) Arnold who preceded him in death in 1995. Leroy worked for Tri Motors in Oak Harbor for 43 years retiring in 2002. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Oak Harbor. He was a 30 year member of AA groups in Oak Harbor and surrounding communities and the Oak Harbor Marsh Club. Survivors include his daughter: Sherri Harder, Step-Children: Jeffrey L. (Christine) Arnold of Arnold, MO, Sharon (Jim) Honaker of Oak Harbor, Diana L. Wimpy of Colorado Springs, CO; Brothers: William (Luann) Harder of Perrysburg, OH, Allen (Janet) Harder of Oak Harbor, Paul (Becky) Harder of Mississippi, and Russ (Carol) Harder of California; sisters: Shirley (Bud) LaCumsky of Port Clinton, OH, Karen (Edward) Davidge and Cheryl (Rob) Hughes both of Graytown; grandchildren: Stacy, Kyle, Erin, Angela, J.B., Douglas, and Ashley; and great-grandchild Taylor. He was also preceded in death by a brother David Harder. Visitation will be Thursday, November 6, 2008 at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor from 2-7:30pm, where evening services will begin at 7:30pm with Rev. Robert Brandt officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 7, 2008 at Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
