Leonora Anne Newell

Leonora Anne Newell, 74, of Port Clinton, Ohio and formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at her residence. She was born on May 12, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late George and Nora (Champagne) Neville. Leonora worked for the Volunteers of America in Sandusky, Ohio as the director of the Homeless Prevention Program, retiring in 2017. During her leisure time she enjoyed reading and painting. Survivors include her son, James Newell of Port Clinton; brother, George (Joyce) Neville, of Cleveland; brother in-law, Frank Meanza, of Cleveland; as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Charlotte Meanza, who passed away within hours of Leonora. Per Leonoras wishes, cremation has taken place. A combined memorial service for Leonora and her sister, Charlotte will be held at a later date in Cleveland. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.neideckerleveckcrosser.com.
