Leonor Mendoza

Leonor Mendoza, 85, of Port Clinton, died Friday, December 8, 2006 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, Port Clinton. She was born March 22, 1921 in San Marcos, TX a daughter of Vasillo and Alvina (Martinez) Guererro. She married Francisco Mendoza and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1978. Mrs. Mendoza was a homemaker, and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton where she was active in the Fishers of Christ Prayer Group. She was also a member of the prayer group at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fremont. Surviving are her daughters, Dominga “Sandy” Mendoza of Findlay, OH, Delores Arriaga of Gibsonburg, Susan Melchor of Port Clinton; step-daughter Andrea Villareao of Bono; step-son Longino Mendoza of Gibsonburg; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, Phillip Mendoza, three brothers and two sisters. Prayer services will begin at 9:30 A.M. Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by the Rev. John Missler at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church, Port Clinton. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Monday at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Perrysburg, OH. Memorial contributions maybe made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
