Leonard “Fred” Losie, 76 if Graytown, OH died Friday, July 5, 2024 at his home under Hospice Care. He was born August 22, 1947 in Toledo, OH to the late Howard and Helen (Hasapes) Losie. Fred attended Clay High School before enlisting in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. On April 3, 1971 he married the former Diane Brewster and she survives.
Fred was an independent Truck Driver retiring in 2010. He was a member of both American Legion Post #279, Elmore and American Legion Post #114, Oak Harbor. He enjoyed woodworking and tinkering with everything. He also played the guitar and as a young man he belonged in a local band called the “Corvairs”.
Survivors include his wife Diane of Graytown; sons: Chris (Mallorie Howey) Losie of Graytown, Tom (Bobbi) Losie and James (Julie Myers) Losie both of Oak Harbor; grandchildren: Adam, Zach, Brady, Leyton, and Landon; great-grandson Crew; step-grandchildren: Paxton, Lincoln, and Eileen; brothers: Ken (Barb) Losie of Curtice, OH, Richard (Barb) Losie of Toledo, OH, Howard (Mary Ann) of Toledo, OH; sisters: Barbara (Bob) Bicanovsky of Walbridge, OH, Janice (Ken) Belkofer of Oregon, OH, and Merry Spoores of Perrysburg, OH. In 2023, Fred was united with his newly found daughter Janice and her family.
Services will begin at 1:30pm on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel and where the family will receive friends beginning at 10am until the time of service. Burial will be in Limestone Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be given to American Legion Post #114. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.crosserpriesmanfuneralhome.com.
