Leonard “Lenny” (Gutfranski) Fran, 83, of Marblehead, Ohio died Thursday, December 22, 2005, at his residence. He was born on May 14, 1922, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Valentino and Pauline Gutfranski. He was employed by the City of Cleveland as a carpenter until his retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead; Port Clinton Elks Lodge #1718; and was an avid fisherman and carpenter. He also loved remodeling. Survivors include his wife: Marilyn (Maihofer); daughter: Patti (Harry)Bendzuck, Strongsville, OH; step daughter: Vickie (Andy) Wallace, Maple Heights, OH; brother: Robert (Cathy) Gutfranski, Rocky River, OH; sister: Dorothy Hart, Rocky River, OH; sister in-law: Stell Gutfranski, Hinckley, OH; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Steve Gutfranski and step brothers: Al and Bruno Gutfranski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, OH with visitation one hour prior to the service. Father Jim Brown will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Home Health & Hospice, Lakeside Fire Department or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
