Leona L. Haar

Leona LaBelle (Krotzer) Haar, 94, of Elmore, OH died Saturday, November 12, 2011 at her home. She was born November 18, 1916 in Bradner, OH to the late Lester C. and Ethel (Humberger) Krotzer. She was raised in Gibsonburg, OH and graduated Gibsonburg High School in 1934. On May 18, 1937 she married Paul Luther Haar who preceded her in death December 14, 1990. Mrs. Haar was a homemaker helping her husband on the farm. She was the owner of Haar Airport, Elmore. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elmore, the Rachel Circle and founder of the blanket makers of Grace. She was also a member of Portage Valley Flying Club, a Charter Member of Buckeye Squares Western Square Dance Club, and Home Arts Club of Elmore. Survivors include her daughter Nancy Pries of Elmore, and son Jack (Nancy) Haar of Richmond, VA; grandchildren: Pam (Dan) Damschroder-McMullin, Mark (Lisa) Damschroder, Penny (John) Dimoff, Philip & Peter Haar; great grandchildren: Julie & Alyssa Damschroder, Catlin, Kiah, & Mackenzie Beaucage, Casey & Christopher Dimoff; great-great grandson Bentley Thebeau. Step-grandchildren: Doris (Jerry) Wodrich and Daryl Pries; step-great grandchildren: Erin & Jacki Wodrich, step-grandchildren: Chris (Amy) Conke, Justin (Heather) Williams, Nathanael Williams; step-great grandchildren: Madisyn Conke and Saige Williams. She was also preceded in death by brother Norman Krotzer, sister Mildred Rembold, and son-in-law Duane Pries. Visitation will be Friday from 2-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore- Genoa Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 11am Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 19255 W. Witty Rd., Elmore, with the Rev. David Nevergall officiating. Burial will be in Harris Twp. Union Cemetery.
