Leo J. Pipoly

Leo J. Pipoly, 62, of Port Clinton, Ohio died Monday, December 14, 2009 at his winter residence in Davenport, Florida. He and his wife had been winter visitors to this area since 1997. He was born October 12, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Joseph and Mary (Fitzgibbon) Pipoly. On February 12, 1968 he married Barbara Ann Thies and she survives. Leo was the Owner/Operator of Camper and Marine Connection, a mobile RV and Marine Repair business based out of Catawba Island since 1997. He was a member of FMCA-Family Motor Coach Association. During the winter months while at his residence in Florida, he worked at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida as a River Cruise Captain for the past 12 years. He enjoyed boating and camping and loved animals, especially his shih tzu dogs: Minnie and Sassy. He was also a Ryan Newman NASCAR fan. Survivors include his wife: Barbara; son: Joseph N. (April) Pipoly, of Port Clinton, Ohio; Daughter: Lisa M. (Michael) Davis, of Port Clinton, Ohio; five grandchildren: Michael, Brandon and Nichole Davis; Caitlyn and Anthony Pipoly. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio from 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM where funeral services will begin at 5:30PM with Pastor Gerald Bauer officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
