Leo F. "Mickey" Johnston, 78 of Marblehead, died unexpectedly on Tuesday June 10, 2008 at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton. He was born May 23, 1930 in Cleveland. Mickey is survived by his wife of 60 years Barbara (Karr); his sons Timothy (Ellen) of Beach City, OH and Jeffrey (Valinda) of Dover, OH; daughter Denise (Randy) of Kunkletown, PA; brother Jim, and sisters Carol Hilberg and Marie Conger. Leo was a proud grandfather of Chris, Kyle, Chase, Ryan and Shannon. He was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Marie (Covert) Johnston; son Michael and brothers Bob, Tom and Jack. Leo was a longtime salesman and part owner of Camelot Village in Streetsboro. He was highly respected by all and known for his integrity to his customers. He was a lifetime racing enthusiast, passing it on to his children and grandchildren. Leo will be greatly missed by all. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marblehead. Visitation will be private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 802 Barclay Street, Marblehead. Fr. Daniel Ring will officiate.
