Lawrence J. Urban

Lawrence J. Urban, 70 of Danbury Township, died Sunday, March 5, 2006 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, OH. He was born November 4, 1935 in Toledo, the son of John and Bea Urbanowski. Mr. Urban was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Seabee’s for 3 ½ years. He spent 28 years in Caterpillar engine sales with Barry Equipment in Toledo and Columbus and then spent 10 years with the Department of Defense. He was a member of the VFW post 7572 of Marblehead. Surviving are his wife Lola M. (McCulley) whom he married on July 22, 1983; sons Bryan and Brad Urban; stepchildren Michael, Tony and Rick Cappelletty and Lisa Ort; Eight grandchildren; Three great-grandchildren; a sister, Joan Niedzwiecki and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rose Marie Urban and his parents. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services at 1 p.m. at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 East Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, OH. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice...
