Lawrence H. Almroth

Lawrence H. “Larry” Almroth, 62, of Whites Landing, and formerly of Elmore, OH died January 7, 2007 at his residence. He was born March 22, 1944 in Toledo, the son of Robert and Betty (Forbes) Almroth. Mr. Almroth married Vicki Carr in 1961. He was a Tool & Die Maker for Ford Motor Company working at the Sandusky Plant. He previously worked at Ares Ordinance, Port Clinton and Almroth Block Co. Elmore. He was an avid trap shooter and previously won a national championship in the early 1980’s. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and his time spent at The Cove at White’s Landing. Surviving are his sons, Michael (Annette) Almroth of Elmore, James (Wendy) Almroth of Arvada, CO; daughter, Shelly (Tim Nixon) Almroth of Frisco, CO; grandchildren, Benjamin Nixon, Steven Nixon, Jeffrey Almroth, Carly Almroth, Cortney Roepke; step-mother, Ruth Almroth of Elmore; half-brother, Charles Abdoo of New York; nephews, Robert Alvarez of McComb, OH, Andrew Alvarez of Indiana. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Alvarez. Visitation will be held Friday, January 5, 2007 from 5-8 P.M. at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore, OH. Services will be conducted 11:00 A.M.
