Larry James Mulligan

Larry J. Mulligan, 66 of Oak Harbor, OH passed away December 24, 2022 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, OH following a lengthy illness. He was born April 1, 1956 in Port Clinton, OH to Norman G. and Geraldine M. (Carr) Mulligan. He attended Immaculate Conception School, later transferring to Port Clinton High School. On October 29, 1977 he married Norma (Rollins), and she survives. Larry worked at Standard Products for 16 years. After the plant closed he went back to school and became an Electrician. Larry worked as a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (Local 8) for 25 years, most of which were spent at Romanoff Electric.

Larry loved wood working, spending countless hours designing and building anything needed or wanted at home, as well as gifts for others. He could fabricate any tool or item using his creativity to form calculated designs to fit any project (He preferred to craft items to make them just the way he wanted them). Larry was a talented marksman who enjoyed spending much of his time outdoors. Larry loved horses and dedicated many years of his life raising and breaking them to ride. He loved telling stories about his childhood and the adventures he had. He had the most contagious laugh and a broad sense of humor. In school he enjoyed running track and he could still win races that were just for fun. He could speed walk faster than some people could run. The most important thing to Larry in life was his family. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He told them stories and taught them countless skills and life lessons every opportunity he got. He encouraged them to make the most out of life, finding the things they are good at and enjoy and chase their dreams, no matter how lengthy. He meant the world to his family and will be missed dearly.

Survivors include his wife Norma of Oak Harbor; daughters Jamie (Eric) Jennings of Port Clinton, OH and Dana (Jared) Griffith of Marblehead, OH; mother Geraldine Mulligan; grandchildren: Mackenzie Jennings, Evan Jennings. Liam Griffith, and Aldin Griffith; siblings: Norman Gerald Mulligan, Steve (Linda) Mulligan, Teresa Sharp, Nancy Manore, and David (Julie) Mulligan; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, December 30, 2022 from 2-6pm at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel. Services will begin at 6pm following visitation at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial Contributions may be made to Stein Hospice.
