Kenneth W. Freimark

Kenneth W. Freimark, 91 of Elmore, OH died Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Genoa Retirement Village, Genoa, OH. He was born June 9, 1932 in Graytown, OH to the late Clarence F. & Clara A. (Sondergeld) Freimark. He was a 1950 graduate of Salem-Oak Harbor High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. On April 29, 1955 he married the former Shirley A. Good who preceded him in death June 18, 2018. Ken worked at the former Spangler- Nau Dodge, Oak Harbor but retired in 1988 from a lengthy career as a Trade Supervisor for the Ohio Turnpike in Elmore. He was a member of American Legion Post #279 Elmore. He loved traveling and camping with his wife and family.

Survivors include his children: Terri (Tom) Nowak of Elmore, OH, Gerry (Cindy) Freimark of Oak Harbor, OH, Marty (Marilyn) Freimark of Elmore, and Denny (Gina) Freimark of Elmore; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister Eloise Hellwig, brother Keith (Anne) Freimark, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Clayton and his wife Jane Freimark, and brother-in-law Lyle Hellwig.

A Celebration of Life Open House will be Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 1-3pm at American Legion Hall Post #279, Elmore. Services will be handled privately by the family with assistance from Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elmore-Genoa Chapel. Burial will be in Elliston Cemetery on the Freimark Family Lot.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
