Kenneth Podger of Marblehead, OH passed away December 17, 2023 at the age of 91. He was born September 11, 1932 in Syracuse, NY, the son of Harold and Florence
Podger, and the youngest of 9 children. Ken was a United States Marine serving in the Korean War. He had a long career as an engineer, building and maintaining manufacturing plants throughout the US. Ken had many talents; he could build or fix just about anything , and always willing to help a friend or neighbor. In his younger years he loved hunting, fishing, camping, golf, bowling, and having cocktails while grilling steaks. Ken raised 6 children with Clara Podger, his wife for many years.
He spent many decades in the Marblehead area with his long-time partner Rita Lang where they enjoyed boating, fishing, and making pies.
Surviving are his companion Rita Lang; and children: Donna Podger, Deborah Podger, Denise Ferro, Florrie Podger and son-in-laws Adam Harris and Ron McChesney, and the mother of his children, Clara Podger. Grandchildren include Samantha Ferro, Kassandra Ferro, Charles McChesney, Alex McChesney, Jessica Brown and Ander Harris. Great grandchildren include Cameron Rocchi, Elijah Weiss, and Nora Biggs. He was preceded in death by his son Daniel and daughter Candace McChesney.
