Kenneth (Ken) L. Blubaugh, 66, formerly of Lima, Ohio and more recently of Marblehead, Ohio, died at 10:12 p.m. July 23, 2013, at The Toledo Hospital. He was born June 19, 1947, in Lima, Ohio, to Glenn and Bertha (Minerd) Blubaugh, who preceded him in death. On September 4, 1971, he married Dianne K. Williams who survives. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served his country during the Vietnam War. Mr. Blubaugh owned and operated Blubaugh Service Master in Lima, Ohio for 30 years. Prior to retirement, he and his wife relocated to Marblehead to be closer to Lake Erie so that he could enjoy his passions of fishing and boating. He was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church, where he participated in the Methodist Men's Group. He was a 1965 graduate of Shawnee High School. He enjoyed the outdoors, woodworking, Nascar, and spending time with his family, especially his grandson. Survivors also include a son, Troy A. (Cynthia) Blubaugh of Toledo; a grandson, Dylan Blubaugh; a brother, Ronald G. (Lynn) Blubaugh of Russells Point; and two nephews, Ronald Blubaugh Jr. of Spencerville, and Jason Blubaugh of Fairfax, Virginia. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 from 3-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio. On Saturday, July 27, 2013, funeral services will begin at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Vern Shepherd and Pastor Bryan Bucher officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lakeside United Methodist Church, 450 Central Avenue, Lakeside, Ohio 43440 or to Habitat for Humanity, 161 W. Water Street, Oak Harbor, Ohio 43449.
