Kenneth J. Michel, 85, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Sunday at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton. He was born on December 17, 1925, a son of Edward & Helen (Foos) Michel. Ken was a 1943 graduate of Oak Harbor High School and has been a farmer since the age of 18. He was an active member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor, where he served on the parish council and the Home & School Association. Ken was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1944 and was a member of The Corda Club. He loved to read and was an avid fan of theNotre Dame Fighting Irish. On April 15, 1967, he married the former Hilda Keil, and she survives. Also surviving are his sons, Ed (Katie) Michel, Joliet, Illinois, Frank Michel, Oak Harbor, and Greg Michel, Columbus, Ohio; sister, Sharon (William) Armbruster, Canton, Michigan, and grandchildren, Kyle, Paige, and Danny Michel. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Marcele Michel. Friends are invited to call from 2-8 P.M. Thursday at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Friday at St. Boniface Catholic Church with the Rev. David L. Ritchie officiating. Interment will be in Salem Township Union Cemetery.
