Kendrick Scott Jesionowski, 50 of Kenton, OH and formerly of Oak Harbor, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 7, 2022 in Wilmington, OH. He was born October 4, 1971 in Toledo, OH to Karen Renee (Campbell) and David Lee Jesionowski. Kendrick was a 1990 graduate of Oak Harbor High School and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism from the University of Toledo. Kendrick was a longtime employee of the Kenton Times Newspaper where he served as the sports editor and a reporter. He enjoyed covering high school sports and socializing with his friends, but his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his sons, Theo and Cam. Kendrick was a member of the Kenton Eagles and the Kenton Moose Family Center. He was a lifelong fan of hockey and the Montreal Canadiens as well as a lifelong football fan with his favorite teams including the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals. Kendrick was known for his eclectic taste in music and craft beer. Survivors include his sons: Theodore “Theo” Jesionowski and Cameron “Cam” Jesionowski both of Kenton, OH; mother Karen Russell of Rossford, OH; sister Melissa Ellis of Genoa, OH; brother Gregg (Wanda) Jesionowski of Stryker, OH; sister Lori Mcllhargey Danzy of Houston, TX; step-brother Michael (Rhonda) Russell of Toledo, OH; nephew Trent Ellis of Oak Harbor, OH, nephews Trevor & Tyler Ellis of Genoa, OH; aunt and uncle Earl (Larry) and Donna Crouch of Toledo, OH; as well as many cousins, and many other family and friends who loved him. He was preceded in death by his “real” father, Paul Russell, who was always there for him; and grandparents Kenneth and Ursula Campbell and grandparents Thaddeus and Rose Jesionowski. A Memorial Service will begin at 3pm on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at the Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 301 N. Locust St., Oak Harbor, OH 43449, with the family to receive friends beginning at 1pm until the time of service. There will be a Celebration of Life event in Kenton, OH on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Eagles, beginning at 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Kendrick’s sons Theo and Cam.
