Keith E. Wahlers, 69, of Catawba Island, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at his residence. He was born August 11, 1936 in Marblehead, OHO, a son of the late Eugene “Booty” and Cletora (King) Wahlers. On June 14, 1958, he married Vanda Wickline, and she survives. He was a supervisor at U.S. Gypsum for 25 years, and then was employed at Thermal Gas Company as a gas deliverer and serviceman, retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Port Clinton Bible Methodist Church where he was active in Church Camp, and enjoyed going to the potlucks. He was also a member of the Port Clinton Moose Lodge #1610. His hobbies included fishing, camping, watching NASCAR, and attending his grandchildren’s activities. Survivors include his wife: Vanda; daughters: Renee & David Haugh of Toledo; and Treva & Mark Burkholder, of Port Clinton; son: Corey Wahlers, of Catawba Island; grandchildren: Kristen, Brian & Andrew Haugh and Mark & Jamie Burkholder, Jr.; Great-grandchildren: Elijah & Eian Burkholder; brothers: Glenn Wahlers of Castalia and Dale & Vicky Wahlers of Rocky Ridge. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister-in-law: Betty Wahlers. Friends may call from 2-8 P.M. Friday, April 7 at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, where the family will be present from 2-4 and 6-8. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, April 8 at the Port Clinton Bible Methodist Church, 150 Maple Street, Port Clinton on where friends may call from 10 AM until the time of service. Reverend Deron Fourman will officiate, and interment will follow at Catawba Island Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Port Clinton Bible Methodist Church.
