Keith E. Lehnen

Keith E. Lehnen, 69 of Marblehead, OH and formerly of Lafayette, IN died Saturday, September 25, 2021 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital, Toledo, OH. He was born August 18, 1952 in Lafayette, IN to the late Pete & Jean (Hawkins) Lehnen. He graduated from Lafayette Central Catholic where he was an outstanding athlete. He received a scholarship to play football for Purdue University. After receiving a career ending injury, Keith graduated from Purdue and went back to his Alma Mater to teach and became the Athletic Director, Head Football Coach, and Head Golf Coach. He went on to own and operate the “Tic Tock Tavern” in Lafayette. Keith published his own outdoor magazine and later became a firefighter for the Lafayette Fire Department. On March 23, 2000 he married the former Elizabeth Schramm. His greatest endeavor was when he and his wife purchased the Lake Point Motel in Marblehead. Keith was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved being outdoors. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Beth of Marblehead, OH; sons: Nyles Lehnen of Council Bluffs, IA and Nick Lehnen of Fichers, IN; grandchildren: Colton, Talon, and Everett Lehnen; and sister Rita (Dale) Cordell of Laurens, IA. He was preceded in death by his brother Bruce Lehnen. A Celebration of Life will begin at 3pm on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Wee Willy’s, 302 W. Main Street, Lakeside-Marblehead, OH 43440.
