Kay F. Taylor

Kay F. Taylor, 89, of Marblehead and formerly of Chesterland, Ohio died Friday, September 21, 2018 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Bowling Green, Ohio. She was born August 5, 1929 in Cleveland, OH the daughter of George and Grace (Cogan) Collier. She married Charles Gwyn Taylor Jr. on July 30, 1949 and after 65 years of marriage he preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 2015. Mrs. Taylor was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Port Clinton, OH and previously St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church in Mayfield Village, OH. She was very active in her church life including E.C.W. One of her many talents included sewing, especially the Halloween costumes her children so proudly showed off. She and her husband enjoyed spending time with family and friends, loved being around water, boating, and together watched many sunrises and sunsets from their lake home on Marblehead and winter residence on Marco Island, FL. Surviving are her daughters: Judy K. (Richard) Kroll of Jacksonville, FL, Gail (Tom) Mercer of Bowling Green, OH; son: Charles G. (Tekla) Taylor III of Conifer, CO; grandchildren: Christopher Kroll, Michael Mercer and Michelle Mercer. She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles; brothers: George Collier, William Collier; sisters: Grace Krum, Carmita Braun and Hazel Skogman. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, September 28, 2018 at St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church, 435 Som Center Rd., Mayfield Village, OH 44143 where visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Whitehaven Memorial Park, 615 Som Center Rd. Mayfield Village, OH 44143. Memorial contributions may be given to Parkinsons Foundation, 150 W. S.
