Kathleen Louise Ohm

Kathleen L. Ohm, 76, of Port Clinton, OH passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, OH. Kathleen was born December 17, 1945 in Cleveland, OH the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Bodig) Karpi. She graduated from Charles F. Brush High School in 1963 and Kent State University in 1967. Kathleen married Gary Ohm on May 20, 1967 shortly after graduation. She started her career as a nutritionist for the Ottawa County Board of Health and then was the WIC Coordinator for Erie County Board of Health retiring in 2013. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton; P. E. O. Port Clinton Chapter; Catawba Island Garden Club and she was a Master Gardener. She was an active volunteer for Portage Resale Shop and she was a huge supporter of Port Clinton City Schools. Surviving are her husband: Gary; sons: Scott Douglas (Beverly) Ohm of Coldwater, MI, Michael Joseph (Lisa) Ohm of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Timothy David (Michelle) Ohm of Westerville, OH, Russell Jacob (Odette Cruz) Ohm of Corpus Christi, TX; grandchildren: Wyatt, Eleanor, Holden, Whitney, Jarod, Logan; sister: Carole Kinney of Rocky River, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister: Jean Arnold. Visitation will be held Monday, August 22, 2022 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH where funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday, August 23, 2022 with Father Jonathon Wight officiating. Kathy's passion for gardening compels the family to request that in lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution be made to the Catawba Island Garden Club, 47 N. Sandpiper Court, Port Clinton, OH 43452.
