Kathleen B. "Kaye" Mazur

Kathleen B. "Kaye" Mazur, 94, of Marblehead, Ohio died Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at The Chalet at The Vineyard on Catawba. She was born on July 3, 1919 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the daughter of the late Robert E. and Elsie (Hall) White. She was married to Harlow D. Rankin and he preceded her in death, she then married Ralph B. Pierce and he preceded her in death; and she married Joe Mazur on May 30, 1959 and he preceded her in death on September 21, 2002. As a young girl, she worked at the family business in Calgary. After she moved to the United States, she worked as an operator for Bell Telephone in Sandusky, Ohio; then as a clerk for Stadium Pharmacy in Sandusky, Ohio, and finally she worked in the customer service department at Sears Department Store in Sandusky until her retirement in 1983. After retirement she was always busy doing something, whether it be sewing, knitting, upholstering furniture, crocheting, gardening, or one of her favorite pastimes- cleaning. Survivors include her sons: Ronald H. (JoAnn) Rankin, Cape Coral, Florida; Brian R. (Laura) Pierce, Fremont, Ohio; Gary J. (Kim) Mazur, Catawba Island; grandchildren: Rick Rankin, Randy Rankin, Lynn (Don) Noftz, Katie (Gary) Gerber, Christopher (Brenda) Mazur, Jessica Mazur; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, daughter-in-law: Judy Rankin; great-granddaughter: Ashley Rankin; an infant great-great-grandson; and sisters: Alberta "Bert" Zima, and Lavinia "Babs" Ferguson. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2013 from 4-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 10am at the funeral home with Pastor Peter Dodd officiating. Burial will follow in Sackett Cemetery.
