Kathleen A. Sabat

Kathleen A. Sabat, 63, of Lakewood, Ohio and formerly of Marblehead, Ohio died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Lakewood Hospital in Lakewood, Ohio. She was born on August 24, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Earle and Eleanor (Majestik) Blount. She was a 1969 graduate of Danbury High School, and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marblehead. Kathleen worked as a sub in the cafeteria at the Parma School System, and also as a food demonstrator at Gordon Foods in Cleveland. She was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Parma, as well as a member of the Parma American Legion. Survivors include her daughters: Jennifer Willette and Stephanie Melandy; step-son: Brian Sabat; three grandchildren; twin sister: Mary Warga; sister: Shirley (Karl) Dubsky; brother: Dale Blount; nieces and nephews: Melanie Warga, Amanda Warga, Daniel Hennig and Dustin Hennig. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband: Russell Sabat. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 10am at the funeral home with Father Jim Peiffer officiating. Burial will follow in Sackett Cemetery.
