Karen Mclaughlin

Karen McLaughlin, 72, of Port Clinton, passed away Thursday, January

11, 2024 at Metro Health in Cleveland, Ohio. She was born June 8,

1951 in Fairfield, IL the daughter of Merrill and Joan Allen. She

married Richard McLaughlin on April 29, 1981. Karen was a manager for

Walmart in the Automotive Department and previously worked at Mutach’s

Market. Recently she worked for Dollar General. She was a member of

Chapel on the Lake.

Surviving are her husband: Richard; children: Jennifer Pierce of Port

Clinton, OH, Genevieve Goodrich of Castalia, Richard (Danielle)

McLaughlin, Sr. of Oak Harbor, Kelly (Jake Yambor) Williams of

Gibsonburg, Daniel Patrick (Kristina) McLaughlin of Defuniak Springs,

FL; grandchildren: Cody (Maci) Livas, Maddy Brazzel, Caitlin Eber,

Richard McLaughlin, Jr., Joshua Williams, Wyatt Goodrich, Caleb

Yambor, Zoie Pierce, Owen Goodrich, Alexis Williams, Cole Yambor,

Kinsley McLaughlin; great-grandchildren: Landon Livas and Graham

Livas; siblings: Dana (Maria) Higley, Gaile Liddle, Joy (Doug) Ceraldi, Judy (Jim) Brower, Carol (Richard) Earle. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father Leroy Higley and son: Christopher

Pierce.

A Celebration of Karen’s Life will be held Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds, 7870 W. St. Rte. 163, Oak Harbor, OH from 12:00 noon – 4:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be given to Humane Society of Ottawa County 2424 E. Sand Rd. Port Clinton, OH 43452. Flowers may be sent to Kelly Williams, 406 N. Patterson St. Gibsonburg, OH 43431.
