Kara Lynn DiMasso, 37 of Oak Harbor, Ohio died Friday, August 30, 2019 in the Intensive Care Unit Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI. She was born June 24, 1982 at St. Charles Hospital, Oregon OH, to Frank and Deb (Reighn) DiMasso. She was a 2000 graduate of Oak Harbor High school. Kara was a receptionist at the Ottawa County Board of Developmental Disabilities in Oak Harbor and a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor. In 2009 she was blessed to be selected as a recipient of a Habitat for Humanity home. Kara loved her home and was fiercely proud of the independence it provided her. Kara loved to shop on Amazon, which is probably why a new Fulfillment Center is going to be built in Rossford. She was all about online grocery shopping at Walmart; she was actively trying to persuade her Dad to give it a go. She loved Buckeye football and her autographed marching band picture. Saturdays were all about putting on your Buckeye t-shirt, and Sundays were all about the Cleveland Browns. Survivors include her parents Frank and Deb DiMasso of Oak Harbor; sister Kristen (Ian) Grotz, nieces Katelyn and Kennedy Grotz of Oak Harbor; maternal grandmother Patricia Reighn, Oak Harbor and Aunt Lisa (Rick) Hetrick, Oak Harbor; Aunt Diane (Tom) Harder, Oak Harbor; Uncle Ed (Nancy) DiMasso of Toledo and cousins Jennifer (Kevin) Wilkins, Ryan Hetrick, Maya and Tori DiMasso and her godchild Parker Wilkins. Kara was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Vincent and Jerry DiMasso, and maternal grandfather Robert Reighn. A private burial in the Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor will take place prior to the Celebration of Life service. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 7, 2019 of Community Market VFW Hall. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM with a service of Remembrance to begin at Noon. Immediately following the service a meal will be provided.
